Complete home technology solutions for new builds and home renovations — designed, installed and supported by Lumono across the Wirral, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.
When you're building or renovating your dream home, you want every detail in perfect harmony — lighting that transforms every room, intuitive controls, immersive AV, intelligent security, a reliable network, smart heating, and elegant motorised blinds. All designed to disappear into the background and simply make life better.
The question is whether you coordinate multiple suppliers — or bring it all under one expert roof with Lumono.
One clear proposal. One seamless installation. One dedicated support relationship. We design every system together from the start, so they work beautifully and reliably. With full responsibility, there are no gaps or handoffs — just elegant, invisible technology that feels perfectly natural.
The result? You'll usually spend less overall, while creating a far more beautiful, intuitive, and valuable home that delights you every day.
Send us your drawings — free reviewCabling routes, equipment cupboard positions, blind and curtain recess pockets, in-ceiling speaker positions — these need to be designed into the build before the plasterer arrives. Change them later and you're chasing cables through finished walls.
If you send us your drawings at any stage, we'll review them and come back with recommendations at no charge and no obligation. It's the most useful conversation we can have.

With over 20 years of residential lighting design experience, we create schemes that are elegant, balanced and practical. You receive a full lighting specification — floor plans marked up with fitting positions, types, colour temperatures and control zones.

Motorised blinds are one of the most transformative additions to any home — and one of the most frequently overlooked until a project is nearly finished. We specify and install motorised systems across all blind types: roller, roman, rooflight, skylight and curtain track. Motors are whisper-quiet, battery or hardwired.
When tied into your lighting and Control4 system, blinds can respond automatically to time of day, sun position or a single scene button press — closing at sunset, opening with your morning alarm, or dropping when the projector screen descends.

Sonos remains the best multi-room audio system available — straightforward to use, excellent sound quality, and hardwired to your network for complete reliability. We don't add unnecessary third-party control layers; the Sonos app is excellent and we leave it to do its job.
For home cinema, the system is designed around the room and the desired experience — screen, projector or TV, sound, seating and lighting all considered together. Control4 brings everything under one remote or one app, and the result is a room that works exactly as it should, every time.

Your home network is the foundation everything else runs on. We use Ubiquiti UniFi throughout — the same infrastructure trusted in corporate environments, configured for a home that demands reliability.

Ubiquiti's AI CCTV distinguishes between people, vehicles and animals — so you receive relevant alerts, not a notification every time something moves. Optional face recognition and licence plate recognition for seamless access. No monthly subscription. Everything runs on your own secure network — you own the data, not a third party.
Seamless integration with Control4 means camera detections can be used to trigger lighting or access control without the need for additional sensors. Cameras can optionally be displayed on any TV in the house.
Note: Our CCTV systems are designed for self-monitoring. If third-party monitoring is required, we can introduce you to a trusted partner or work with your own contractor.
We don't install alarm systems, but we work seamlessly alongside your chosen alarm company. If you don't have one, we're happy to introduce you to a trusted partner.
Discuss your projectEvery stage is designed to make the project straightforward for you and your other trades — particularly your electrician.
We come to you. We walk the property, listen to what you're trying to achieve, and talk through the options — no pitch, no pressure. If you have drawings, send them in advance.
A full proposal: laying out the options, the equipment, cabling, lighting design, and pricing. We'll walk you through everything and make any tweaks to arrive at the perfect fit for your project and budget.
Blind recess pockets, ceiling layouts and void requirements, equipment panel space requirements etc. go to your builder and a detailed cabling and lighting design to your electrician at the right stage. This is what gets missed when trades are co-ordinated too late.
We supply all specialist low-voltage cabling with full drawings and a cable schedule. We're on hand during first fix to support your electrician and answer questions as they come up.
Once the plaster is dry, floors down — we return to install, configure and test everything. We walk you through the system until you're completely confident with it.
Remote support, software updates and on-site visits. You'll always deal with someone who knows your system — not a ticket number or a call centre.
We'll review them and come back with thoughts on what's possible, what's worth considering, and where early decisions make the biggest difference. No cost, no obligation.
Every project is different in scope and brief. The approach — meticulous design, clean installation, proper handover — never is.
A substantial extension and full refurbishment called for a complete technology design from scratch. Lumono specified and installed everything — lighting design, Control4 automation, motorised curtains and blinds, whole-house Sonos audio, a dedicated cinema room, AI CCTV and a managed network. All designed together from the outset, so everything works together properly.

A developer partnership with Redrow to make these landmark villas as desirable as they could be. Bespoke lighting design, a dedicated cinema room and whole-house audio in each property — all specified at design stage, not retrofitted. Technology that adds genuine value, and the photography to prove it.

A carefully considered renovation that deserved technology designed with equal care. Full lighting design, specification and supply, Control4 lighting control, a clean home cinema installation and enterprise WiFi — integrated to complement the contemporary aesthetic rather than compromise it.
When I recently extended and renovated my home, Lumono transformed it beyond my expectations. Their attention to detail in integrating the AV kit was incredible — everything blends so seamlessly into the design, you'd never know it's there until it's in action. They didn't just install; they offered brilliant ideas for décor and layout that shaped the whole project. The automatic curtains and blinds they fitted were a surprise I hadn't considered, but they're now my favourite feature.
Lumono provided excellent customer service and support throughout the design and installation process of our smart home system. The end result is a highly functional and intuitive system that has greatly improved our daily lives.
Neil installed a full entertainment and lighting system into our current house 6 years ago and did a first class job. I have been so impressed that I have asked him to do the same in our new build house that is under construction now.
Outstanding service all round. Very knowledgeable on all things audiovisual and excellent after sales support. Cannot recommend enough!

Get in touchAs early as possible — ideally at the design stage, before planning is finalised. Cabling routes, equipment cupboard positions, blind recess pockets and in-ceiling speaker positions all need to be designed into the build before first fix. Send us your drawings at any stage and we'll review them free of charge with no obligation.
It varies significantly with scope. A whole-house system covering networking, lighting control, CCTV, motorised blinds and multi-room audio typically ranges from £20,000 upwards. The important context is that most of this cost would be incurred across separate suppliers anyway — a single specialist covering all systems is typically more cost-effective than co-ordinating multiple contractors. That said, we're more than happy to quote for individual systems, typically starting at around £2k. You don't have to eat the whole hog!
Yes — this is exactly how we work. Our scope is low-voltage and control only; we don't touch 230V. We supply all specialist cabling before first fix with full installation drawings and a cable schedule, so your electrician knows exactly what's needed and when. We're on hand during first fix to support them.
No. Lighting design is part of our service. With over 20 years of residential lighting design experience, we produce a full lighting specification — fitting positions, types, colour temperatures and control zones. You can source fittings through us or independently.
The first twelve months of support are included as standard. After that, we offer an optional support arrangement covering remote access, software updates and on-site visits for anything that can't be resolved remotely. You'll always deal with someone who knows your system.
The Wirral, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.
We sit at the intersection of design and technology. Lighting schemes, blind positions, equipment locations, speaker recesses — these decisions shape how a home looks and lives, and they need to be made alongside your team, not after you've left site.
Send us your drawings at any stage and we'll come back with observations, recommendations and any early-decision flags — at no charge and with no obligation. We're used to working within an architect's or designer's framework, and our documentation — floor plans, lighting specifications, cable schedules — is produced to a standard that integrates cleanly with your project file.
We also offer free CPD presentations to your practice, accredited by RIBA and BIID.
